What does it mean for people in the United States and internationally to come together to explore and celebrate freedom and independence? In the United States, emancipation from slavery and national independence are marked by two federal holidays, Juneteenth and Independence Day.

Through this festival, people of all walks of life are inviting one another to experience, celebrate and advance freedom and independence for all.

Global Participation

Liberty and Justice for all

Participants around the globe are invited to offer an event, a conversation, a gift or a discount, in acknowledgment and celebration of America having succeeded, in a small or great way, in creating freedom and independence. By consciously and intentionally creating culture—together—we have a chance at continuing to build the American Dream: liberty and justice for all. Note: Although centered in the USA, freedom and independence are global issues, so we participants from around the world are invited.

"What I loved about this event is the combination of a very important historical event and taking (as a presenter) a very playful, creative approach to it—that’s key in transformation."

"I attended at least ten events: from a reading of poetry about freedom, to collage-making, to a fascinating talk on architecture to musical performances, to several illuminating conversations, and so much more. Wow! Thank you!"
